Navratri is a beautiful festival of devotion, Garba, and joy in Gujarat. For nine nights, people worship Goddess Amba, wear traditional outfits, and enjoy Garba and Dandiya. The festival celebrates Gujarat’s rich culture, unity, and traditions.

AI less regulated than milk

AI less regulated than milk, Microsoft president says in warning over safety Artificial intelligence is less regulated than milk and washing machines, the president of Microsoft has said, as the tech industry warns over the safety of AI. Brad Smith said there should be more safety rules to govern the technology including a legal obligation to a “victim” if their system was breached by rogue AI agents. He told the BBC: “Right now, your washing machine is subject to more safety rules than AI. Every carton of milk that you see in the grocery store is subject to safety rules and inspection.” There are growing calls from experts, politicians and regulators for tougher rules to control AI, as well as warnings from Anthropic, Google DeepMind and OpenAI that the pace of the technology’s development should slow. Smith said AI could be a “tool and a weapon” that should be regulated urgently.

HMV to close Oxford

HMV to close Oxford Street store after three years HMV has said it will shut its flagship Oxford Street store three years after it reopened the site, blaming a proposed doubling of the rent for the closure. The entertainment chain said it would leave the shop in March 2027, in a move affecting more than 50 staff. It said it was looking for a new site in London's West End district for its flagship shop and said it planned to maintain a "significant presence" in the capital. Phil Halliday, managing director of HMV, said it was "frustrating" that the Oxford Street shop was "commercially unviable". He said: "This is a special store, it's where we began 100 years ago and bringing it back to life in 2023 was a big moment in our recent history. "We are looking ahead, and our focus is now on what we do to make exciting steps for HMV in 2027."

A great indie studio

Image
A great indie studio is making a sequel to one of my favorite adventures 17 years later, for one simple reason: 'We're not getting any younger, and the world seems to be ending' It's been 17 years since the original Machinarium , a wordless tale of love in a crumbling city of robots. Amanita Design has put out some great games over that span— Botanicula , Chuchel , Creaks , Phonopolis —but hasn't breathed even a hint that more Machinarium might be on the way. So why now? "We're not getting any younger, and the world seems to be ending, so if we were ever going to make Machinarium 2, now is the right time," Amanita CEO and designer Jakub Dvorský said—a bit dark, sure, but I can't find any factual fault in his reasoning. "We're also grateful to every player who waited patiently all these years. We couldn't have done it without them."

Players

Emotions run high at the round table as Celebrity Traitors banish two players We normally expect raised voices, conflicting theories and a dramatic showdown from the Celebrity Traitors. But as this year's first round table got under way, the writing was on the castle wall. Viewers who often get frustrated with the faithful and root for them to uncover a traitor had their wish firmly Richard E Grant-ed on Thursday, as the actor was banished in a landslide vote.
